Toro Power Shovel 38361

Tuesday, November 30, 2010 0 comments
If you go to Target, Home Depot or any of the other big chains that sell the Toro Power Shovel 38361 you will probably find the same thing that I did...that it is SOLD OUT. Why? Because this is one of the most helpful tools to have ever been placed on the market.

It works fairly well on small driveways; don't forget to pick up a nice long outdoor-use electric extension cord. And use this only on paved surfaces...no loose gravel!

But the real benefit of this tool comes with walkways and DECKS.

If you've got a large driveway, pass on this and go for something with a little more power. If you've got a decent size walkway, you'll love this. It clears the snow with ease and it will last forever; my father-in-law has had his since the early 90s.

If you have a deck with a railing, and your deck isn't covered so it builds up with snow, the Toro Power Shovel 38361 will become your best winter friend. The snow is propelled a good 25 feet and easily clears deck railings. Just don't shoot the snow into the wind (duh). No more throwing out your back from lifting heavy snow over railings with this baby.

No matter where you use this...a word of advice: Try not to let the snow get deeper than about 6". Yes, that means you might have to go out a couple of times. But c'mon...it's fun! The Toro Power Shovel 38361 still works in deep snow, but it really isn't designed for it. Any deeper than about 6" and you'll need to "shave the top of the snow accumulation," and you might as well not have the electric shovel for the effort that takes.

Happy snow season!

Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q885 TruBrite 18.4-Inch Laptop

I am a freelance graphic artist. I need graphic power to run my Adobe Creative apps efficiently. This machine delivers. It is much faster than my desktop which is a Core2 Quad running at 2.83 GHz. It is also extremely pleasing to the eyes without looking too much like an Alienware gaming machine. I personally like the gaming look but needed a machine that delivered gaming performance while still looking professional in front of my customers. It is a bit heavy.

It would be a load on long trips where a lot of walking is required. If that is the case for you, I would suggest a pull-behind solution when looking at cases. Had some trouble finding a case that it would fit in. This is an over-sized, 18-inch laptop. Most of the large bags are for a 17 inch.

You may need to special order a bag. I took my Qosmio into staples and found a bag that was actually spec'd for a 17-inch, but was able to make it work. It wouldn't fit in most 17-inch bags. I was disappointed when I realized that the keyboard doesn't light up on this model. It also does not have bluetooth. Pay attention to the specs if you want these options. You'll need to upgrade and pay a little more for them. I should have been more observant.

I was looking too closely at the other performance specs and while comparing, I took it for granted that these features were standard. They are not. Overall, still a very nice machine. Boots up fast and runs great! I'm pleased. Also, for a very small shipping upgrade, I received this the next day from Amazon! Loved that!

Cheap Philips 42PFL3704D/F7 42-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

I bought this 6 months ago, and haven't had any issues with it like others have described.
This was purchased as a bedroom TV (no surround sound, video game console, etc. - just FiOS) and I got it due to the very low price compared to others for a 1080p display. The picture is amazingly clear and bright. The only downside, which some others have commented on, is the piano-black finish that seems to show dust a little more than similar items with a matte finish - but that's a very minor issue - just dust it :)
Some others have complained about the sound quality, but it seems fine and plenty loud to me, but again it's just in my bedroom.
Overall, very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it.

This is a great TV! the pic is beautiful and the speakers aren't to bad if your just watching regular TV. The low res watching kind of sucks because the screen is so big, I dont think that's the TV's fault though, I think it's the size? I've had this since sep 23 and I honestly think the colors have gotten better, is that possible????? one thing to consider though is this baby does put out the heat! It doesn't get hot, it just heats up my apartment pretty fast. There again what do you expect from such a big screen? Really great buy,,,,just consider the heat factor and if your going to be watching a lot of basic cable, I would definitely get a smaller screen. (Panasonic of course) This one replaced a six month old 32" LCD that made my eyes sore! I dont like LCD TV's at all,,,,, plasma baby only way to go!Get more detail about Panasonic TC-P58S2 58-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV.

I have owned the UN55B6000 for about a year. The picture is fabulous. I saw the UN40B6000 at Sears on clearance today. After all the discounts the final cost was only $435. OMG it was the last one and I had to buy it. Picture is GREAT! Look for a good deal since these are last years model. The 2010 UN40C5000 is selling for at least $899 and it is not 120HZ.Get more detail about Samsung UN40B6000 40-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV.

Order Philips 40PFL5505D/F7 40-Inch 1080p 240 Hz LCD HDTV, Black

Wednesday, November 17, 2010 0 comments

I purchased this TV about 1 month ago, and so far love it. I own a Panasonic Viera th-50pz80U (480hz 1080p)that I bought 2 years ago, and my brother owns the newer g10 50 inch 600hz panasonic, and this phillips is as nice as those two Plasma TVs. Upsides of this tv, LCD, more durable as far as moving around. Plasma tvs are still glass and need to be kept upright, never to be placed on their face. this can be moved more. It is brighter than the plasma TV at baseline. Colors pop without haveing to put the TV into a brighter mode as I have done before on my plasma. there is no burn in or streeking as with the plasmas if not taken care of. I have not had a problem with the panasonics, but on rare occasion on pause I will see a little burn in that will fade on my plasma. I think that the speed of the TV, 240hz, has made it comparable to my plasma for everyday movies. This has a digital motion program built in the set which can be turned off and on. For regular movies and TV, I turn it off. On animated movies, wow, i think this TV beats my plasma. The draw back with the digital motion is that it looks really choppy in movies with a lot of action, like car chases . It does funny things with the people on the screen as well. If it is focused on a character, it almost feels as if they were standing there in the room. It looses the warmth and depth in background, and again seems choppy when the focus person or object moves, and looks really processed (like a computer straining to keep up with rate) if the background moves. Regular movies and sports, I love my Plasma TV. This Philips 5505 model does not have Wifi built in for net flix, but the 5705 model does. This one runs a bit cheaper, and as a second nice tv for the bedroom, this works well and is a great value for the speed and size. Only a few of the upper models from sony and LG have 240 hz LCD/LED tvs, and those models will cost you quite a bit more for a comparable TV. The Cheapest i saw the Sony was around $1100 for a 40 inch. For LCD tvs, this one is great, and the digital motion can be turned off which is a nice feature. As a final note, my friend sprung for a samsung 46 inch 120hz model, and spent considerably more, and this toast it all around. again with the samsung as with most LED tvs, they over process the image and it looks choppy and unnatural. That is why i like the fact I can turn on and off the Digital motion feature. Check this TV out, great value and performance.

Update- response to some questions that came up. The Net picture are not that good

Thanks for the good questions, the pictures are tough to see

The Bezel is a glossy bezel, reflective

The screen is essentially flat. I note a small reflection when the tv is off, but there is no reflection when the tv is on, and i can tell you my plasma tv that is one draw back, the reflection on bright days. in looking at the other lcd/led tvs on the market, this is the same as most of them these days. My friends Samsung 46" 650 model has an actual plastic protective cover over the LCD screen which does reflect, that was a shock. the non reflective front is one of the advantages of any LCD/LED tv over most plasmas

Mesurments 26 1/2 tall, 9 3/4 at base, tv 3 3/4 thick, 39 across horizonal, corner to corner at 40" screen, almost 43 corner of bezel to corner of bezel.

Finally, LCD/LED tvs run much cooler than plasma tvs, so this tv is much cooler and nicer in my room than my plasma would be.

One final note. Depending upon if you want Net capability for streeming videos from the internet eg, netflixs, or blockbuster streeming vidio, the 5705 model online here at amazon is only a few dollars more. I got my tv at a warehouse retailer for less than the current price today on sale, so this model was a no brainer, and I don't really care about the net capability because various blu-ray players have that capability as well. so if you want a stand alone tv and you plan to get a blu ray player, net capapble doesn't matter. if you have limited space and watch all your movies offline, then the 5705 model would be worth the investment.
hope this helps

Where To Buy Mitsubishi WD-73738 73-Inch 1080p 3D DLP HDTV

Just got our Mitsu 738 last week and we are delighted with it. It fills up our rather large family room and the picture is fabulous. At first we were using the "brilliant" setting but have now backed off to "bright." We did find the "normal" setting to not have very good color reproduction (watching Patton, the flag in the first scene is orange, white and blue--but in bright it's perfect).

We got a panasonic 3d bluray DVD player on the recommendation of the sales rep. Panasonic seems to be a better match for Mitsubishi's 3d system. It upconverts our regular DVDs to HD quality and most of our DVDs have never looked so good (we even have a Pioneer DVD recorder and the recordings we made look very good).

I like the remote control. It is very intuitive in its layout and button names.

We just got the 3d package so I'll update this and tell you how that worked.Get more detail about Mitsubishi WD-73738 73-Inch 1080p 3D DLP HDTV.

I purchased this tv this week and am absolutely blown away at how well the picture is. I had the 2nd generation 52" Sharp Aquos prior to this and the difference in picture quality is amazing. Best Purchase I have ever made. The only problem I have with it is that you can't hook up any additional devises i.e. my Wii. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can connect that?

Thank you.

This tv is a whopping 13 months old and it has two serious problems already.....i constantly receive an error message "incompatible audio output" and the unit powers off for no apparent reason. Purchased this from a warehouse club at a very good price, but there were two bad pixels so it was returned. Got a second one and it too had one stuck pixel so it is going back also. 2 defective screens out of two indicates a serious problem with quality control since this should have been caught at inspection prior to shipping. Works ok otherwise, but remote control is not very user friendly. Compact TVs like this are usually used in the bedroom, so the remote should be designed for easy use in dark rooms.Get more detail about Sansui HDLCDVD195 19-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with DVD Combo, Black.

The tv has a very amazing picture when connected to a bluray player, but once connected to xbox360, thats a different story. the image becomes real blocky around what ever image is moving on the screen and it is horrible on image lag time. you can turn the controler like normal but it takes half a second before it actually does anything on the screen. would not recommend for gamers, video is great.Get more detail about Philips 40PFL3705D/F7 40-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV, Black.

Save VIZIO E421VA 42-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, Black

I actually bought this TV at Sam's club where the going price for it was $598. It was a real bargain at that price too. The other TV I was considering was an LED version that is also 42''. I just could not justify paying an extra $250 for the LED version when this is the same thing with only the regular backlighting, which is actually guaranteed to last longer.

I'm not actually using this for a TV, rather, it's being used for a computer monitor. At first it was a little hard to configure but you have to make sure that your resolution is in one of the VESA formats like 1920 x 1080, 1360 x 768, 1024 x 768. You also need to make sure the picture mode is set to "game" so there is no hesitation between what has been done with the mouse and what happens on the screen. The game mode fixes any hesitation.

I looked on Newegg dot com for large format monitors at 42'' and they were all well over $1000. There really is no reason to buy one of them when you could just get one of these for so little, and have it do the same thing.

Another positive is that the picture is very sharp, brilliant, with plenty of contrast.

Cheap Panasonic TC-P50U2 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV

The issue described in the last paragraph will not be a problem for any user who never uses the 4:3 format option when using this TV, but for me it caused me to return what would have otherwise been a fine TV

As a movie buff, and just a person with general sense, I naturally want to see an uncropped version of any movie or TV channel I watch. This, and I assume all Panasonic units, offers four screen formats: 4:3, Zoom, Full, and Justified. Full and Justified are unusable, as they simply horizontally stretch the existing picture, no matter what the original format, to reach the right and left edges of the screen. This leaves horizontal black bars at top and bottom, which is fine, but the resulting image is unnaturally elongated horizontally. Characters faces and bodies become much wider than normal, especially if viewing a movie or TV channel that is originally in 4:3 format. That leaves you with "zoom" and "4:3" Zoom fills all areas of the screen with a portion of the image, but in doing so lops off 2-to-15 percent of the top and bottom of the picture. This issue is so severe that, when viewing CNN, for example, the entire bottom "crawl" area of data disappeared.

So I opted to stick with the 4:3 option (the full amount of any image is shown, even a Cinemascope film, but the entire image rests within the boundaries of a 4:3 size box in the middle of the screen). At 50 inches, even the 4:3 setting gave me a larger image than my previous CRT TV. (Panasonic allows one to make the color of the resulting vertical black bars on either side completely black, so you aren't watching the image surrounded by gray bars.)

Unfortunately, the TV adds a very slender but very bright vertical line between the image and the black bars on the right and left sides. This quickly causes the burn-in issue that plasma screens are noted for. These lines became burned in to the screen after I used the unit casually for only a week. Now, anytime I use the "zoom" format to fill the screen (on occasions where the source aspect ratio means that very little of the top and bottom of the image would be cropped with this setting) there are two vertical lines on the screen that will not disappear. The are both set about 7 inches in from the outer edges.

Without this problem, we would be talking about an almost perfect TV. And yes, I have scrutinized every single setup option to see if these bright vertical lines could be eliminated during viewing in the 4:3 format, but there is no solution. The TV comes with a feature that blasts the screen for 15 minutes with bright white scrolling bars, in an attempt to remove any burned-in area, but even that will not remove the two vertical lines.Get more detail about Panasonic TC-P50U2 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV.

Buy Toshiba 46UX600U 46-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED LCD HDTV with Net TV (Black Gloss)

I purchased this most EXCELLENT LED HDTV this past July, 2010, at a price almost $300 MORE than listed today and have not ONE single regret! I was first introduced to an LED 1080p "screen" with my new HP 17.3" AMD Dual-Core laptop w/BluRay player. The CLARITY, CRISPNESS and contrast ratio of the screen on my laptop was nothing shy of AMAZING and I knew, then, that the next (first) HDTV I was going to purchase was going to be an LED HDTV. At the time I purchased this Toshiba, the "bigbox" retailers had it priced anywhere from $1,900.00 at a minimum to $2,200.00 and more at the higher end. I purchased it NEW via AMAZON.COM for $1,200.00 (keeping in mind that the USB Internet accessory continues to be RARE in LCD, LED, DLP's and other models and makes of HDTV's ... and to find that "option" AND have the USB Wireless accessory INCLUDED is even MORE RARE!)
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Toshiba 46" LED HDTV and suggest you purchase it IMMEDIATELY!!
The CLARITY and CRISPNESS of the picture is beyond compare!
With FOUR HDMI ports, CONNECTIVITY is a non-issue compared to a majority of other makes and models.
The approx. ONE HUNDRED ONLINE WIDGETS continue to update so the entertainment choices are always FRESH, EXCITING, INTERESTING and INFORMATIVE!
Everyone who has viewed my Toshiba has been MEZMERIZED by it's INTENSE CONTRAST RATIO, CLARITY and PRESENCE as you truly are treated to an IMMERSIVE HOME THEATRE EXPERIENCE.
And, if you are fortunate enough to have a BluRay player you are going to simply be BLOWN AWAY by this TV's INTENSE 1080P POWERFUL PRESENTATION!
The Remote Control is EASY to employ, the ability to "label" the HDMI inputs is equally EASY and the ability to go deep into the submenus (do NOT be "intimidated" by this) is QUICK, INTUITIVE & EASY!
I MUST suggest STRONGLY that you read the included Owner's Manual, as it is in PLAIN ENGLISH, EASY TO READ and INVALUABLE in quickly learning ALL of this marvel's FUNCTIONS & SETTINGS.
Oh, I might also mention that I have had Z E R O "problems, quirks, defects or difficulties" of ANY SORT with this most exquisite device and do NOT expect a single one.
I did purchase the 4 YEAR extended warranty, as any intelligent shopper would, in order to protect this investment ... as most, if any, "problems" will occur during this time period and I'm equally pleased I invested in this protection.
I hope this gives you a semi-detailed review of this product and it helps you to decide to purchase this Toshiba!Get more detail about Toshiba 46UX600U 46-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED LCD HDTV with Net TV (Black Gloss).

Purchase Haier HL22XSL2 Black 22-Inch Ultra Slim LED LCD HDTV

Wednesday, November 10, 2010 0 comments

Great picture quality. LED technology is definitely the way to go. Great connection cluster on the back of the set. The power cord is a bit shorter that i would like, but works out with a short extension.

Great set for the price I paid ($129 on sale, reg $269) at Ultimate Electronics.
This store ROCKS !!! Great pricing on everything I saw, and I look at technology all the time.

The sound on this set starts to distort once you go more than halfway up.
Turned down the bass setting and it helped, but still not like a Samsung or Sony for sound.

Great for a small bedroom or office where volume is not an issue. Would not recommend in a Kitchen or large room, unless you have a sound system connected to it. And a drawback to that would be the lack of being able to set the output volume to 'variable' vs. 'fixed'.

Otherwise the picture is great, setup was easy.Get more detail about Haier HL22XSL2 Black 22-Inch Ultra Slim LED LCD HDTV.

The Panasonic brand has long been associated with quality electronics and the L42D2 upholds their tradition of excellence. The picture doesn't disappoint, especially for watching dvds, crystal clear in High Resolution Mode. I am picky about the picture quaility and customize whenever necessary, and am satisfied with the control this feature affords. My only minor complaint is losing data on the edge of screen, when watching sports in Zoom format, which is how you will want to do that. Otherwise, line-doubling in the 120hz works fine for sports, concerts and action films. I saw nothing annoying that interfered with my entertainment experience. The sound is more than satisfactory, outside of connecting to an AV receiver, which I use for playing dvds. Done this way the experience is pretty awesome. Also, the L42D2 is Energy Star, and you are going to enjoy those savings for years to come, and feel good doing it. This set is a real steal for the price.Get more detail about Panasonic TC-L42D2 42-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV with iPod Dock.

Where To Buy Coby TFTV1212 12-Inch Widescreen TFT LCD 720p HDTV/Monitor (Black)

I purchased this Coby TV for its size, looks and its specific characteristics. I needed a small screen TV which could be mounted on a swing arm attached to the wall. I have only one eye so the TV had to be near my desk, my laptop, and my general work area. I mounted the TV,with ease,to the swing arm and then the wall. The TV is approximately three feet from the above stated areas. This distance is perfect for my needs. The picture is clear, sharp, and robust. The sound is outstanding. I would recommend my COBY TV to other interested shoppers.Get more detail about Coby TFTV1212 12-Inch Widescreen TFT LCD 720p HDTV/Monitor (Black).

Sharp AQUOS LC40LE700UN 40-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV

We now own two sizes in this model: 40-inch and 32-inch. The picture quality is wonderful for the price. The TV does not swivel and the cabinet is not the most attractive, but it has the best picture for the price range. The sound is OK for the bedroom and exercise room. We added Logitech Speaker System Z520 to the 32-inch, for louder sound and so we could use headphones on the treadmill. Very happy with both TVs.Get more detail about Sharp AQUOS LC40LE700UN 40-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV.

Sharp LC60LE820UN 60-inch 1080p 120Hz LED Edge-Lit LCD HDTV Review

Wow, what an amazing picture! The color depth is what really makes this TV stand out from the crowd, especially blues and yellows. Very pretty cabinet on this TV, and the base is one big piece of glass that is clear around the edges, looks really sharp. Still framed Avatar Blu Ray on the same scene on this and my Toshiba Regza LCD TV and the color difference is incredible. The blues on this sharp are so vibrant. Not in a glowing unreal way, but just very vivid. Planet earth Blu Ray looks insanely pretty as well, everything looks good on this TV. I wasn't sure about the extra pixel making a difference, but the side by side comparison with my Regza made me a believer. Touch sensitive buttons on the cabinet aren't the best as you have to keep your finger on them for a second before it accepts the input, but the remote control is excellent and that is what I use most of the time. It also suffers from the spotty backlight problems that all edge lit models do when the screen is all black, but it is most noticeable when viewing off angle, and doesn't show up at all when there is an image on the screen. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a huge TV with great picture quality and who doesn't give a flip about 3D.Get more detail about Sharp LC60LE820UN 60-inch 1080p 120Hz LED Edge-Lit LCD HDTV.

Sharp LC32LS510UT 32-Inch 1080p LED-Backlit LCD HDTV This instant

Just got my first 32" flat panel tv, and let me tell you it is great. Bought this on a whim that since Sharp sort of specializes in led tv's that a sharp led tv would be better than the rest. So far, the tv has been great. The picture is better than i could have dreamed. Takes action pictures very well and shows much more detail that I would ever have dreamed possible. Possible drawbacks include the lack of internet connectability, lack of features, and it doesn't seem to want to jive with my blue ray player.
Internet connectability- this was a simple issue to fix as i bought a sharp hp24u blu player that has internet so I can get netflix if i want. Wasn't really looking for this feature in a tv.
lack of features - again not a problem going in and i knew about it as well when buying. The tv does allow for a wide range of adjustment which suits me just fine.
aquos link - the tv does not want to link up properly with the hp24u blu ray player (hdmi cable and all...). Not that big of an issue, but really would have been nice. I may have to play around with it some more and see if i can get them to jive together. If this is the only surpise then I will very well be happy with this tv for a very long time.

The sound from the tv is pretty good. It really showed off while Tree Beard let off his war cry during LoTR-The Two Towers. Possibly hinting at a tendency to have better midrange tones than other tones. Most sound issues though could be fixed with a home theater system.Get more detail about Sharp LC32LS510UT 32-Inch 1080p LED-Backlit LCD HDTV.

I bought this TV for my new kitchen. I couldn't wait until the kitchen was done, so set it up to see how it worked. The picture is clear, the sound is very good, especially for a small room. I was influenced after buying the same brand in a 32" for my bedroom.

I would recommend this TV wholeheartedly. I can't wait now until it is hung on the wall in the newly remodeled kitchen!Get more detail about Sansui HDLCD1912 19-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, Black.

Samsung UN46B8000 46-Inch 1080p 240Hz LED HDTV Best Quality

The TV itself is 5 star. But customer service is so bad (zero stars)that I will not buy another Samsung product. This was my third Samsung TV, but never again.

After having this TV for 11 months, the remote control stopped working. A quick call to Samsung's 800 number assured me that a new remote was on its way. Don't believe them. It turns out that their service standard is to ship with 14 business days - ie it may be almost a month before you get what you ordered. And to call them just gets a reply that it hasn't been 14 business days yet, so keep waiting. It turns out that my remote wasn't even shipped, but they couldn't tell me that for 14 business days. When they finally did ship it, it arrived in a padded envelope via UPS. It was DOA, likely damaged in shipment due to insufficient packaging. Customer service said "no problem", we'll replace it. I am still waiting, but it hasn't been shipped yet. But then again, they've only sat on the order for 8 business days so far, so I have to wait another week and a half before I can even complain. When I asked if it would be shipped in a box this time, the customer service agent said she has no way to communicate with the shipping department. I have found out that they have an "executive customer relations department" (why is this even necessary?)who can e-mail their shipping department. So I requested it be shipped in a box, so maybe this next remote, if I ever receive it, won't be DOA.Get more detail about Samsung UN46B8000 46-Inch 1080p 240Hz LED HDTV.

Panasonic TC-P50C2 50-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV Get it now!

Sunday, November 7, 2010 0 comments

I originally bought this television through Target.com (twice before finally sucking it up and hauling it home myself from a local Target store. Screen arrived smashed from both deliveries so if you can buy locally, that may just be your best option). I'm certainly not an expert on what makes one television better then another but I can say that the television looks nice, was a breeze to set up (I did require the assistance of two strong men to help me with the lifting so I could have it mounted properly to it's stand) and I think the picture quality is very nice. 50" was a whole lot more television then I had expected and people are always surprised to learn how little I spent on it. The only thing I don't like is the super glossy/reflective screen. It looks sharp but if you have any opposing windows or lights, you get nothing but reflection. I'm not one who is typically bothered by a little bit of a glare but it's really excessive - even dim lights pose a nuisance. Overall, can't beat the price - great buy.Get more detail about Panasonic TC-P50C2 50-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV.

I was a little leary of buying this because of other reviews on the net, from professional critics. However, none of them hold water. This is a fantastic HDTV, and the extra features with internet access make it perfect (pandora radio, even youtube). The picture is excellent from any angle, multiple inputs allow connections from any source. One thing that isn't mentioned is that the set will turn itself off after four hours if there's no input, that is set as a default. It was purchased for my elderly mom, and she loves it. Oh, and it's only a couple inches thick, and so protrudes from the wall even less than a picture frame!Get more detail about Toshiba 55UX600U 55-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV with Net TV (Black Gloss).

Sony BRAVIA BX 300 Series 32-Inch LCD TV, Black Right now

This was a Tv that I was really hoping would be great, but sadly I was mistaken.

Pros: Good cable TV quality, Sound isn't too bad, the design is really sleek and nice looking, still picture quality is good.

BIG CON: Basically you can't watch anything too dark on HD programs or ghost trails will manifest behind moving objects. I had my 360 hooked up and character's heads would look like shooting stars when they would move across the in game environment. Like other reviewers have stated, actor's facial features appear to be floating on their faces. I was EXTEREMLY irritated by this.

I have since returned the TV and have ordered a Panasonic L32X2, so hopefully that will answer to my TV needs! :DGet more detail about Sony BRAVIA BX 300 Series 32-Inch LCD TV, Black.

Lowest Price VIZIO XVT323SV 32-Inch Full HD 1080p LED LCD HDTV with VIA Internet Application, Black

I received this set on a Friday and left it on after the initial set up until the following Sunday. Turned it off and came back 2 hours later and when I tried to turn it back on it all I had was the dreaded BSOD.(Black Screen of Death).
After going through all of Vizio's telephone technical services reps troubleshooting steps they sent out a technician to replace the set's mother board. not an auspicious beginning but it has worked fine since the repair.
I did not complain to amazon.com but I do feel I should have been credited for buying a refurbished set instead of the full price since replacing a motherboard after 2-1/2 days definitely makes it a refurbished set.

The picture and sound are excellent. I get my service from direcTV and upgraded to a High Definition receiver.
I intend to by a Vizio BluRay DVD Player in a couple more weeks.
I do think the internet ready feature could be easier to use. I have not been able to make a wireless connection yet but I use MAC addressing on my wireless router network and the User's manual says to disable MAC filtering.
I will have to hire some one to change to a compatible wireless network set up before I can receive wireless internet features. Home wireless networks with 5 devices are hard for an amateur like myself to configure.
I have a Linksys WRT610N Wireless Router which transmits on both "G" and "N" channels so it is compatible with one 4 year old Dell Laptop running XP Home edition, my wireless AIO Brother MFC665CW Printer and my Delll 17 inch Studio and 15.6 inch Sony Vaio laptops are new machines running Windows 7 Home Premium and wireless "N"
Vizio offers a good value product for a competitive price. I am glad I bought the LED back lighted HD TV Screen version instead of the fluorescent lamp lighted models. I believe it is more energy efficient.Get more detail about VIZIO XVT323SV 32-Inch Full HD 1080p LED LCD HDTV with VIA Internet Application, Black.

I purchased this ViewSonic VT2730 27-Inch 1920x1080 LCD Flat-Panel HDTV for my son. So, he can enjoy his cartoon before bedtime. I would said this is the worst choice I made. I would think this is good if I don't have a touch the mouse every 25 minutes. In every 25 minutes, it's show a sign on screen said, No Signal. Awful, no matter what I set on the computer setting. The time it's just show No Signal in every 25 minutes. So, if you wants to purchase a HDTV to relax. This is not the kind you are looking for. I do not recommend this HDTV to anyone at all. Sad, now I have to look for a new HDTV to replace the awful one.Get more detail about ViewSonic VT2730 27-Inch 1920x1080 LCD Flat-Panel HDTV.

Ambilight is dead, I half expected any Philips flat screen to feature ambilight technology. This TV as well as any other Phillips TV does NOT feature Ambilight anymore. I called Phillips to confirm.

Unfortunately I had to return this TV, as it is not very sexy and not very thin and while the 240hz picture quality is good, I was not impressed by the sound at all.Get more detail about Philips 46PFL5505D/F7 46-Inch 1080p 240 Hz LCD HDTV, Black.

Cheap Toshiba 40E200U 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV (Black Gloss)

After much research, I decided to purchase this TV and am happy with my decision. I previously owned a Toshiba set (http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-26HF85-Widescreen-HD-Ready-Screen/dp/B000816XK2) that I was very happy with, but was looking for something with HDMI support to hook up my Apple TV. I took stock of what components needed to hook up to the set and with what types of connections (Wii with a component connection, iPhone/iPod with a composite connection, Apple TV with an HDMI connection, and a Blu-Ray player with another HDMI connection). I also had a space requirement that this set fit into perfectly, giving me the largest viewable area in the space I had available.

Once I turned the TV on with basic cable, I was not that impressed with the picture quality. After a few minutes and getting all the connections set, I found that HD content looked great, especially at 1080p coming from the Blu-Ray player.

I have resisted hooking the TV up to my old receiver (though it does have the inputs available to do so) and surround sound system to get a sense of the audio from the TV alone, and so far, so good.

For the price, this is a good set. I have only had it for a week or more, so cannot review the longer term performance, but at this point, I am quite satisfied.Get more detail about Toshiba 40E200U 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV (Black Gloss).

Buying Coby TFTV1923 19-Inch Widescreen LCD HDTV/Monitor with HDMI Input, Black

I bought this TV from a store about a year and a half ago and I have only used it occasionally during that time period. About a month ago when I was using it I noticed that that the picture started disappearing and the screen would just go black and then silver. The audio stayed on during these episodes but the picture would be gone for about 30 minutes and then sometimes it would come back in for a while and then go again. The TV is cheap so therefore not worth the cost of repairs but even a cheap TV should last longer than that if only used occasionally. My guess is that the LCD messed up.Get more detail about Coby TFTV1923 19-Inch Widescreen LCD HDTV/Monitor with HDMI Input, Black.

Buy Acer AT3265 32-Inch LCD HDTV, Black

Wednesday, November 3, 2010 0 comments

I use long wide spreadsheets every day and the scrolling back and forth was too tedious so I bought this TV to use as a computer monitor. It is awesome for this purpose. Now I can fit a lot more spreadsheet on my 1920x1080 than I could on my 1280x800. The screen is bright and the colors are great. Movies look nice too. Best of all, it is a steal of a deal. This was the lowest priced 1080p 32" TV (or monitor) I could find, and at $399 it is well worth it.

The setup menu is pretty basic, and the graphics for it are pretty plain, but hey you don't see them very often so no big deal. My only complaint is the lack of availability of documentation online. I spend days researching and comparing electronic products before I make a purchase and it would have been nice to be able to research this thing a bit more before I bought it. Despite that, no regrets on the purchase.Get more detail about Acer AT3265 32-Inch LCD HDTV, Black.
