After shopping around a while for a 40" lCD for the bedroom, this Samsung hands down is the best... It rates top in the picture quality, sound and inputs. I looked at the Sony KDL40ex500 but for the same price for the Samsung it was a no brainer. The Sony Bravia is a good TV but Samsung is the best. Please, please get a service aggreement no matter what TV you buy because things happen as you may know. I recommend trying Square Trade Warranty it's half the price of all other warranties and they offer four years. I asked a lot of questions and compaired the service agreement with all other competitors and I was very confident and satisfied that they will hold up to all the others. They will come to your house you don't have to ship it etc. Most of all the concerns of the TV if something were to happen would be covered. Remember no warranty is going to cover 100% if you neglect the TV.
