I read the reviews on this television before I bought it so I knew in advance it was slow changing channels. So far that is the only draw back to this unit we chose for the kitchen. Channel surfing is not fun. All other aspects are average to above average. I have not tried the DVD player yet but that is not why I purchased it so it really doesn't matter how well it works.
