I purchased this tv to replace the old one we had on our kitchen countertop that required the digital converter and antenna. Well, we don't need the converter, but we need an antenna and at least 2-3 times a day, we say either "this tv sucks" or "we need cable." Actually the tv doesn't suck. when it works, it has great picture and very good sound, but it just doesn't pick up the digital signal as well as we had hoped. We fuss and fidget with the antenna and it ends up taking up too much counterspace, defeating the purpose of the smaller tv. The DVD player works great. So now we want to get cable in the kitchen and mount the tv on the wall and we are confronted with the issue of being unable to mount the tv. The Toshiba website even tells you -- it did not put the necessary screws and wholes on the back of the tv to attach an adapter for wall mounting.
If you are certain you will NEVER want to mount this tv on the wall, then it is for you. But if there is just any slight possibility, dont' get this one.
Oh, and as far as the lag time in starting after you turn it on, my other lcd 32" Sony does the same thing.
